Nine illuminated blocks.
Infinite colour combinations.
One giant game.
Step onto the grid. RGBXO is a 3×3 array of glowing floor blocks, each one alive under your feet, you choose any combination of red, green, and blue - all at your touch. By day, the blocks offer a place to sit, gather, and watch the world pass. By night, they transform into a pulsing, player-controlled dancefloor.
Each block is a 1.2m square of weight-bearing opal perspex, lit from within by programmable LEDs. Touch a button and its colour shifts. Touch it again and it shifts again, and if you're feeling competitive, the grid becomes your game board for a giant, luminous round of Noughts & Crosses.
Built from wood and recycled perspex in keeping with Splore's commitment to sustainability, RGBXO is as robust as it is radiant. The installation spans 4.6m × 4.6m, wide enough to wander across, low enough to dance across, and irresistible enough that you don't want to leave.
